Initial Ritual (Outdoors): Light 16 incense sticks outdoors to inform the local spirits and guardians of the land:

"Today, I, [Your Name], bring this Kuman named [Kuman's Chosen Name] to reside in this home. May it help attract wealth, good fortune, and success in business. I ask the local spirits and sacred entities to clear the path for my Kuman."

Communicating with Kuman: Next, light 5 incense sticks to communicate directly with your Kuman:

"From now on, I, [Your Name] (you can refer to yourself as Mom, Dad, or Sibling, as you prefer), hereby name this Kuman [Kuman's Chosen Name]. I ask this Kuman to help me find wealth and good fortune, and to protect the people in this home and myself. May I be prosperous, have abundance, and live happily. (You can state specific wishes you want the Kuman to help with at this time)."


Care and Offerings for Kuman Thong
 

Offering Food: When making offerings to your Kuman, you do not need to light incense. Simply call the Kuman's name and invite them to partake in the offerings.

There's no need to bow to the Kuman, as they are considered your younger sibling or child. Treat them as your own child, and they will love you deeply.

Recommended Offerings: Common foods that children enjoy and are non-spicy. Sweets, sugary drinks, and ice cream are particularly favored.

After an hour of offering, you can discard the food or let pets consume it. However, the caregiver must not eat the leftovers, as they are considered consumed by the Kuman.
 

Important Guidelines and Taboos
 

One Important Rule: Do not ask for or use Kuman Thong for immoral purposes or to exploit others.

Making Merit for Kuman: Once your wishes are fulfilled, perform good deeds (make merit) and pour water to dedicate the merit to your Kuman. When performing the merit dedication, explicitly state that this merit is for Kuman [Kuman's Name]. You can also include your Kuman when making any other merit or donations.

It's recommended to make merit for your Kuman at least once a year. If done more frequently, the Kuman's power and effectiveness will increase.

Offering food can be done at your convenience; there are no strict rules or obligations.
